Ben and Steffany McIntyre

I was extremely excited when Steffany reached out to me to photograph their wedding at the Honey Run Covered Bridge (more on that down in the footer). The day was amazingly cool for a September in Northern California. Steffany began her day by getting ready on site enjoying the scenery, while the Covered Bridge received a wedding day make-over. The day was filled with family and friends enjoying the park in all of its summer glory. The life and love shared between this intimate group was evident as the day progressed. Ben's aunt performed the ceremony showing the importance of family. After the day was through, the two lovebirds left in a family MG Midget passed down through the family for generations.

This post hits me deep. I grew up a mile up the hill from the Covered Bridge and had always wanted to take pictures for a wedding there. I had just about finished editing their pictures when the Camp Fire tore through Butte Creek Canyon. I was one of those that had to evacuate my home, I was fortunate to have enough time to grab the essentials (including the hard drive with my 3 most recent weddings). When life finally began to settle down, going back through their wedding was a treasure to know that I captured their moments at the Honey Run Covered Bridge.
